KEM TopTalk Interviews and Discussions Features Kaytlin Bailey of Decriminalize Sex Work Advocacy
On this episode of KEM TopTalk Interviews, Marabelle Blue speaks to Kaytlin Bailey, an comedian, former sex worker and advocate to decriminalize sex work. Kaytlin discusses her advocacy work and why it was important to get involved with this movement. I learned from this interview, it’s not just a matter of getting information (and the right information), but also getting involved and understanding the laws within the US. How can we make for a better community? Kaytlin also discuss what happens when women are left under the “protection” of police custody and how that cost of the lives of women within the SW community.
I will say, I’m glad Kaytlin took control of the conversation because I was choked up listening to one story of a girl who took her own life to stay out of arms way of getting arrested. Some serious stuff.
